Selling World of Warcraft Account – Question?
I got a buyer who wants to use Paypal. First and foremost, is this the safest way? What information do I give him right off the bat? Do I withold the secret question until the money is in my bank and how long does it take to get into my bank account?
Can he retract his payment? If so, is there a time limit? I really don’t want to get screwed over as I’m selling it for $700.
Yea I got scammed before I read these answers. Definitely ask for a number, the guy reversed the payment made to me after I gave him account name and password. I still have my email and secret question that I never gave him, but he changed the account password and now my account is locked and possibly banned. Awesome.
First, contact the buyer through E-mail or instant messaging Program. After you get into contact with them, the most important thing you must do is to ask for their phone number. I used to buy and sell WoW accounts and 95 percent of offers I got are scam. If buyer refuses to give you a phone number without any valid reason, automatically cancel the transaction. If buyer agrees and gives you a number, call it and verify everything with the buyer. Once you called the buyer and buyer pays you the money, start it off with giving him Account name and Password FIRST. There is still a chance buyer will use Paypal Dispute option to get his/her money back. Wait for 4-5 days if buyer is using an e-check or wait for 2-3 days if he sent you an instant payment and you have the balance on your Paypal account. After those days, you provide buyer with Secret Question and Answer, CD-Keys, and E-Mail change.
As for the retracting the payment, there is no time limit. Buyer can withdraw the money anytime they wish. If buyer ever claims a dispute and try to re-claim their money, call the number and talk to them. If number cannot reached, you can provide ALL details of transaction to Paypal regarding to this issue. Make sure you save all E-mails involved with sale of your account.
If you are verified Paypal user, it will take 2-3 business days for it to show up on your bank. Hope I helped.
