World Of Warcraft Guilds
World of Warcraft, guilds and raid dungeons question?
I see armor sets that i like that come from raid dungeons. I understand that you have to have several players to go into these dungeons, so when you have that many players, how do you determine who gets items that are usually rolled for. If they roll for it, then i would assume that my chances of getting a set is slim to none. I have a hard enough time going in to a regular dungeon more than twice as it is. Also, how do i get groups together to go into these raid dungeons. Someone on the game told me that if i did not go with my guild, then i would probably never go into them. I have a lvl 60 NE and a lvl 50 BE, i have never had much luck with guilds. My BE is in the best guild i have ever been in, but we(sister, husband, and I) are the highest levels in the guild. It does not have many active players. My NE i gave up on, and do not play her anymore.
So how do you check out guilds , and can someone tell me how do you determine who gets what in a raid instance.
I am on Velen realm.
So you want a certain set of armor pieces from raid dungeons. To do that, you’ll have to have a good group (in best cases a decent guild).
To find a decent raiding guild, you can look around in your realm forums (Velen) in the World of Warcraft website. Ask around for active guilds that are recruiting and raiding instances that you prefer. I’d recommend something not too large and a guild that is looking for a specific class (your class), or you’ll have a hard time getting spots in raids.
Once you find that “right” guild, ask them how you can get a spot in a raid. If you’ve joined a guild that needs your certain class, you’ll immediately get a spot in the raid. Other than that, experience and class needs come first.
Each guild has different types of methods for receiving loot. One method is the DKP or Dragon Kill Points. DKP (probably the most common method) is given to each participating guild member. These points add up and once you have a good amount, you can then “bid” in these points for that armor piece that you want. Another method is the roll method. If an item drops from a boss, those who want or need the item will have to /roll for that item. In this case, the highest roller would win.
As far as determining “who gets what” in a raid instance, any item that is beneficial and used for your class, is what you will bid or roll to get.
I hope that helps, and good luck finding a good guild.
