Why are the world of warcraft forums down ???
I understand that the SERVERS are down today for “LAWLLOLOLOOOOOL” maintinence … but why would there website IE forums be effected .. These guys get MILLIIONS of dollars a week … cant make a game that functions 24/7/365 .. ok .. but a forum , common surely you can keep your FORUMS up forever with a 19 million $ a day profit margin ?
Its due to the fact that all the forums are being hit by many people at the same time. The solution would be to put many servers on forum duty but depending on the server you get you would only see a certain posts and duplicating the data on all servers would make for even more chaos. So if you got server b you would only see posts from people who got on server b.
In short they can make them up forever but at the cost you not seeing all the posts.
