Do I HAVE to buy World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade expansion pack to upgrade to burning crusade?
I have a regular world of warcraft account, do i have to buy the actual expansion pack to upgrade my account to burning crusade even if I have the disc already?
Or can I buy like a card or something that upgrades my account?
Yes, you’ll need to purchase The Burning Crusade, either physically from a store or via the online upgrade, in order to upgrade from a Standard Classic Account to a Burning Crusade Account.

You might like to note that no additional game time is provided when purchasing in the expansions The Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King.
