Why do Prepaid World of Warcraft game cards cost more in Canada then the US?
The price difference is $10 dollars, this doesnt make since the Canadian Dollar is higher then the Us Dollar.
It has nothing to do with exchange rate and everything to do with the prices Blizzard sets within each country. They have all sorts of different systems set up in different countries based on what they have determined will be the correct price for the market. In some countries, you don’t even have to buy a copy of the game to play. You just get the prepaid cards to set up your account and you find a computer (often in cafe’s or other places that have computers for public use) that has WoW on it already. It’s kind of interesting how a company like Blizzard had to adapt to make WoW marketable to people all over the world (a lot like McDonalds and the crazy things they serve in foreign countries…lol).
