World of Warcraft farming tips?
Hey in World of Warcraft there are several items i need to farm, for myself and for the auction house. These include the crusader enchant recipe, the whelpling pets and more. Does anyone think they can give me some good tips to farm these things and maybe the names of some more good farmable items, im level 68 btw. Also are there any addons that tell you whena particular creature has spawned, or when a creature that drops something particular spawns. Thanks.
For the chant you need to go to Western Plaguelands Herthglen tower, * Crusader will not drop off the Avengers, Cavalier Durgen or the Elite Spawns(more on them later). Kill them as incidentals, or to get to other spellbinders, otherwise don’t waste your time.
3 Spellbinders on the bottom floor of the tower and 3 on top. They are on a 7 minute +/- about 1 minute timer. Occasionally you will have a spellbinder circling around the base of the tower..he’s fair game too,though I suggest tagging him from inside so you don’t have to bother with worthless avengers. All of these will attempt to run when nearly dead, so be prepared for it with whatever class abilities you have to handle runners.
If you have the tower to yourself and can clear the bottom floor, wait for Durgen to begin his patrol downstairs and engage him there. While he’s not difficult, his stuns make 3 spellbinders upstairs rather annoying to deal with. He’s on a much faster timer than the spellbinders.
Pets set on auto attack will tag spellbinders just slightly before they ‘finish’ spawning. Very useful if you’re dealing with a Night Elf Rogue trying to pinch your kills. If you stand about 4 steps ‘up’ on the ramp from the bottom level, the elites that spawn for the tower event won’t aggro you (at least they never aggrod me). If you’re near one the spawn points for the bottom level spellbinders though,you’re probably toast.
Outside the Tower: you have the possibility of 3-4 other spellbinders as random mobs. Near the Huntress camp, and near the bunkers on the road south of Hearthglen. They generally aren’t worth clearing along with the tower since they are randomly spawned,but if you’re bored and/or the tower is camped when you show up, you can at least smack them around.
Contrary to popular opinion-this is NOT a ‘gold farmers’ camp. The loots are too worthless,other than the ONE item we’re all after which has such a silly drop rate than any item farmer sitting around here is wasting their time. People who want to make gold quickly go to Hearthglen or Tyrs Hand. Gold/Item farmers tend to come here to check on the randomly spawning chest on the bottom level, or to attempt to tag mobs before you do,but nobody wanting ‘fast cash’ stores up runecloth from this crappy tower.
