World Of Warcraft Addiction Stories
My World of Warcraft Addiction story…?
I have been playing this game for 4 years now. I have time to quit about 10 times by just freezing my account, or selling my account/deleting my characters and even trying to get my account banned. If I sell my account, 3 months later when I want to come back, I steal it back. When I freeze my account, i pay for it 6 months later. When I delete my toons, I tell blizzard I got hacked and get them restored. My addiction has caused me to fail classes this year in my junior year in high school. I have to make up for it next year to go to a college…I think I finally ended my addiction because WoW requires a great graphics card to play with. So, I got a hammer, took out my graphics card, and smashed the $549.99 its worth which I bought 3 years ago. Was this extreme to do or would you have done the same thing if you there that obssessed over a video game? FINALLY I CAN GET A LIFE lol.
Congrats.
I was addicted to COD 5. It’s ridiculous. Even worse how can a girl possibly be addicted to COD 5? And the saddest part, I was actually good at it. I’m talking top kills every time, level 65… omg it was horrible!
Anyways, it got to a point where I just gave it away to someone who deserved it, which was my brother. In a way I did the same thing as you. I didn’t necessarily smash anything but I got rid of it for good. You gotta focus on other hobbies. For me, it was shopping, field hockey, track, art, and music. It’s okay that you went to an extreme to stop being addicted. If it helped you get your life back, then that’s what you needed to do. Your story is pretty motivational, I mean you overcame something that was tough (it’s a lot harder than people think) and you’re starting over with something new and better. It’s okay that you did what you did. I wouldn’t consider it extreme at all. Good luck on the future!
